Nepal enters semis:

Nepali team celebrating their victory over Singapore, in the quarter-finals of ACC Trophy Elite Cup Cricket, on Monday, July 28 08. Nepal continued its winning spree Monday thrashing Singapore by 6 wickets to confirm the semis berth in the ACC Trophy Elite Cup Cricket Tournament being held in Malaysia.
Again with same improved batting and disciplined bowling, Nepali players tamed Singaporeans for the way to semifinal of the tournament.
Batting first after winning the toss at the Kinara Oval, Singapore struggled to 155-9 in 50 overs. Mehmboob alam had a spell of 10-3-25-3, Shakti Gauchan took 2-17 off 10 overs. Paras Khadka, Raj Kumar Pradhan and Basanta Regmi claimed one wicket each.
Chasing the victory target of 156 runs, Nepal were in reeling pressure when they lost 3 wickets when the score was just 39 at board. But, Solid partnership between Paras Khadka and Shakti Gauchan saw Nepal securing the place in semis. Paras scored not out 71 runs while Shakti contributed not out 30. Paras was named the man of the match.
Nepal will play its last league match against Kuwait.
